BLM – AR Filter

2020

I created this Augmented Reality resource inspired by the pursuit to create an equal society, inspired by black lives (which matter). Being anti-racist results from a conscious decision to make frequent, consistent, equitable choices daily. These choices require ongoing self-awareness, self-reflection, and education. In my own learning journey, I created an Anti-Racism learning experience to support the education of others as well.

In 4 parts, the experience is designed to explain what racism is, acknowledge how racism appears in modern life, define the anti-racism learning journey, and show additional resources for becoming anti-racist. I designed 3D models of anti-racism learning visuals that can be experienced in space and imported them into SparkAR.

To improve this AR experience, I would love to be able to link out to the additional anti-racism resources mentioned within the experience! For example, inside the effect, a user would be able to tap on an organization shown and be taken outside the effect to the organization’s web page for more information. This feature is not currently available in the tool.
